Nearly 1 million pirated products to be destroyed

BANGKOK, 3 March 2015 (NNT) – The Department of Intellectual Property is set to begin destroying counterfeit goods in its stance against copyright infringement.

The destruction of pirated goods is part of sentencing in over 3,400 copyright infringement cases. Officials reported there are nearly a million items to be destroyed, causing more than 3.7 billion baht in economic losses. Most of the items are clothes, electrical appliances and cosmetics.
