NACC agrees to charge Abhisit and Suthep over the crackdown of red-shirt protesters in 2010

The National Anti-Corruption Commission has decided to file malfeasance in office charges against former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and former deputy prime minister Suthep Thaugsuban for their role in ordering the crackdown of red-shirt protesters on April 10, 2010.

NACC member Vicha Mahakhun said the NACC felt that the government could not resort to military approach alone in its attempt to reclaim the occupied territory from the protesters because there were protesters who were not involved in any violence or non-protesters.
