Police say kidnapped businessman released in Cambodia

BANGKOK, Nov 15 – A Cambodian businessman of Chinese origin who was kidnapped in Bangkok for ransom early this week has been released safely by kidnappers and is staying in Cambodia, said Pol Col Akaradej Pimolsri, acting commander of the Crime Suppression Division, on Saturday.

The businessman identified as Chen Ji was abducted and was taken away in a van in front of Baiyoke 2 Building in Bangkok’s Pratunam area on November 11, said Pol Col Akaradej.
