AirAsia plane damaged after bird strike

An AirAsia passenger plane hit an egret while landing at Nakhon Si Thammarat airport yesterday morning, delaying its return flight to Bangkok.

The left engine of flight FD 3188 from Don Mueang airport in Bangkok sucked in the bird as the plane was descending to land at Nakhon Si Thammarat airport about 7.30am.
