Thailand keeps close watch on travelers from Africa due to Ebola outbreak

BANGKOK, 30 July 2014 (NNT) – The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stepped up measures to inspect travelers from Africa to Thailand following the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

Public health organizations in Europe are on high alert after a report that a 40-year-old Liberian-born American who had been infected with the virus died on a flight from Nigeria to the U.S. This case of death led to the fears that the virus could spread by air travel.
