People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban was ordained as monk in a low-key ceremony Tuesday at Wat Thasai in Muang district of Surat Thani Tuesday.

Phra Suthep, who was given the monastic name “Prapakaro” (the one with the enlightened mind), entered monkhood in a simple ceremony arranged with Alongkorn Setcheao, Phra Suthep’s cousin, the only relative present.
