Giant waves wreak havoc on Phang Nga beach

BANGKOK, 24 June 2014 (NNT) – More than ten shops have been severely damaged by giant waves in the southern province of Phang Nga due to a monsoon depression. The local people have been warned of flash floods and flooding. The shops are located on the beach in Takhua Pa district.

They were wiped out by the giant waves and strong winds earlier this week before the waves became less violent on Tuesday.
