Fight against drugs is another urgent task of NCPO

BANGKOK, 6 June 2014 (NNT) – The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has set a 30-day time frame to stop the spread of narcotic drugs nationwide. Special job promotion will be granted to officers who perform well in anti-drug operations.

Secretary-General of the Narcotic Control Board Pol.Gen.Pongsapat Pongcharoen said NCPO executive Gen.Paiboon Khumchaya had instructed the Narcotic Control Board to combat drug trafficking in prison and set the 30-day time frame for drug eradication in all communities across Thailand. Officers had to surround and search the places they suspected of keeping drugs and bring drug addicts to rehabilitation, said Gen.Paiboon.
