Thai Court does not accept CAPO’s petition against anti-government protest group

BANGKOK, 2 April 2014 (NNT) – The Constitution Court has unanimously rejected for consideration a call by the director of the Center for Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) whether protests by the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) are crimes against the state.

The court on Wednesday turned down the CAPO’s request for a trial against PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban and other core members of the group, citing their illegal surrounding of government buildings and road blocking.
