PM Yingluck Shinawatra seeks 45-day extension for defense before anti-graft body

BANGKOK, March 27 – Caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra today asked to extend the deadline to clarify allegations of malfeasance in the rice pledging scheme, scheduled for March 31.

Her lawyers acted on her behalf in seeking a permission from the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to prolong the required clarification for 45 days due to excessive documents.
