Land prices on Pattaya’s waterfront have reached a staggering 300 million baht per rai – an increase of over 200 per cent in the last five years – the city’s general secretary has revealed.

Khun Pakorn added that the purchase price for land on Beach Road is estimated at 200 million baht per rai and is mainly being bought up by hotels. It is foreign investment generally which has carried the prices up and up, with the main investors being from China and Russia.
