Bangkok Airways flight takes detour to Chiang Mai due bad weather

BANGKOK, 20 Oct 2013 (NNT) – A Bangkok Airways’ domestic flight bound for Lampang took a detour to Chiang Mai on Sunday morning because of unsuitable weather for safe landing.

The 70-seat airplane was scheduled to land at Lampang airport at 7.50am but it could not penetrate the massive pressure system, thick fog and clouds. The pilot was forced to take a detour and temporarily land at Chiang Mai.
