Tropical storm ‘Trami’ will not have any impact on Thailand

BANGKOK, 21 August 2013 (NNT) – Northern and North Eastern residents will be in for more rain in the next few days as a monsoon trough is moving across the upper part of Thailand, while sea conditions in both the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are not ideal for fishermen.

According to the Meteorological Department, 70% of the northern region can expect downpour, while heavy rains have been forecast in Tak, Mae Hongsorn, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Payao, and Nan provinces.

Similar weather conditions have also been predicted in 40% of the areas in Isan, while heavy downpour can be expected in Nong Khai, Bungkarn, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakorn, and Nakorn Phanom.
