Bangkok: Anti-government movement may suspend protest

BANGKOK, Aug 9 – The anti-government People’s Army against the Thaksin Regime (PATR) said the group may suspend its rally against the parliamentary deliberation of controversial amnesty bill if the public disagrees with its demonstration.

PATR leader retired Admiral Chai Suwannaphap said the group still adheres to its aim to oust the Thaksin regime and will continue its protest in order to follow up its six-point proposal earlier submitted to the government.
