30 Rohingya flee Sadao detention centre

SONGKHLA, Aug 9 – Thirty ethnic Rohingya migrants fled from a detention centre in the border district of Sadao in this southern province this morning, police said.

Police suspected that the group escaped from their cell through the ventilation system after cutting off the iron bars late last night and that the group should be heading for the Thai-Malaysian border.
