Tyres, CCTV cameras, telephone booths burned in Pattani

PATTANI, April 20 — An unknown number of suspected insurgents caused disturbances at 14 locations in four districts of Pattani province on Friday night by burning tyres, CCTV cameras, and public telephone booths.

Pattani police chief Pol Maj-Gen Ekkapop Prasitwattanachai said that in the provincial seat, car tyres were burned on Pattani-Narathiwat Road, a tree was felled to block the road, and a fibre optic cable on electricity post was burnt, causing mobile phone service disruption in Pattani and Narathiwat.
