Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra ‘Woman of the Year 2013’

BANGKOK, April 2 – Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Tuesday received a “Woman of the Year” award for her role in supporting the empowerment of women in the society.

Government spokesperson Tossaporn Serirak said the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Soamsawali has awarded the “Woman of the Year 2013” to the prime minister on occasion of International Women’s Day which falls on March 8 every year.
