A Swiss national, in Pattaya, drowned on Sunday evening as he swum in the ocean during the heavy storms that hit the region.

The deceased, 65 year old Hans-Peter Stamminger was finally recovered from the ocean and whilst forensic examinations will be carried out it is assumed that his death was due to drowning.
