LAMPHUN, Feb 23 – This northern province has declared 30 sub-districts of 7 districts disaster zones from drought, with an initial relief budget allocated at Bt40 million.

Lamphun governor Pinit Harnpanich said assistance has been provided to prevent water shortage and for agricultural use. Local residents are warned to conserve water.
