Flash floods in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Severe droughts along Ping

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, 19 November 2012 (NNT) – A one-meter-high flash flood in Prachuap Khiri Khan province has affected over 100 households.

A low pressure storm caused rains to persist in the province throughout the day yesterday. The raining culminated in a flash flood from Tanowsri mountain, which inundated Salalai and Silaloi sub-districts in Samroiyod district, damaging over 100 households.

Several schools and a district temple were also affected. While the situation has improved, motor vehicles have still been unable to pass through the area.
