HM the King launches 5 royally-initiated irrigation projects

BANGKOK, July 7 – His Majesty the King on Saturday presided over a ceremony to officially inaugurate five royally-initiated irrigation projects at the Royal Irrigation Department.

HM the King, in Royal Thai Navy tropical white uniform, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, left Siriraj Hospital by boarding a double-decker vessel called “Angsana”, provided by the Royal Thai Navy at 4.30pm, cruising upriver to the Koh Kret area, an island in middle of the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi province.
