Five police officers killed in Yala car bomb ambush

YALA, July 25 – Five police officers were killed and one was wounded in this southern border province as an explosives-laden pickup truck was detonated when their vehicle passed by.

The teacher protection unit was on duty to provide security to teachers at Ban U-Poh school. On the way to the school on the Ban U-Poh-Ban Pakasamae Road in Raman district, a pick-up truck parked at the roadside exploded, killing five of the six-member team.
