Bird flu kills teenager in Vietnam, child in Cambodia
Hanoi – An 18-year-old in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta became the first person to die of bird flu in more than a year, authorities said Thursday.
‘No H5N1 patient was discovered last year,’ said Phi Van Kien, an official from the Department of Preventive Health and Environment, referring the bird flu strain of the flu virus. ‘This is the first patient to die of bird flu this year.’
