At least 533 killed from floods in Thailand

The flood toll in Thailand now stands at 533, with two people missing, Disaster Mitigation Centre director Phanu Yaemsri said yesterday, adding that floods continue to ravage 24 provinces, affecting 2.84 million people and 11 million rai of farmland.

The flooding has also made 69 highways in 10 provinces and 191 roads in 29 provinces impassable, he said.
