Thai Army ranger shot dead in Narathiwat

NARATHIWAT, Aug 22 – An army volunteer ranger on Monday was gunned down in Narathiwat’s Rangae district while working in a rubber plantation, according to local police.

Nirosuenan Jehnu, 31, was shot three times in his torso and head and died immediately, according to Pol Col Suchart Asavachinda, superintendent of Rangae police station.

The victim’s body was found lying in a pool of blood near a rubber tree.
