1,200 riverside households in Bangkok may be affected by flooding

Bangkok’s 1,200 riverside households located outside the flood barrier were bracing for flood conditions Tuesday night.

As the Chao Phraya River rose to 1.6 metres and a speed of 1,300 cubic metres per second, Bangkok Governor Mom Rajawongse Sukhumbhand Paripatra Tuesday led city executives to inspect Wat Lad Krabang slough gate and the flood prevention plan for Prawet, Suan Luang, and Bang Na areas.
