Yingluck Shinawatra takes her son to make his ID card

BANGKOK, 11 July 2011 (NNT) – Incoming Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has taken her son, Supasek ‘Pipe’ Amornchat, to make his ID card after the law now requires all children aged more than seven years to have their own citizen cards.

The incoming prime minister took her nine-year-old son to make his first ID card at Wang Thong Lang district office in Bangkok on Monday morning as her son is having a semester break. Supasek was born on 29 March 2002.

Ms Yingluck stated that the policy requiring children aged over 7 to have ID cards is very good, and she is ready to support it since the cards also combine public health and educational information of holders, thus beneficial for national development on children.
