Man shot dead in Bangkok after killing two persons, wounding two

BANGKOK, April 14 — Bangkok Police early Thursday shot dead a man who went berserk killing two persons — a police officer and a taxi driver – and wounding two others, police said.

Police said a man identified as Thada Intamart first stabbed 2nd Lt Vichai Wilairasami and took his car in suburban Bangkok’s Nonthaburi province and headed for Dusit district in the capital.

Pol Sgt-Maj Likasit Pirasri of Dusit police station tried to arrest the man but was stabbed and shot. The officer died later while being sent to hospital.
