House dissolution in early May: Thai PM Abhisit

BANGKOK, March 11 – Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Friday said he will dissolve the House of Representatives, Thailand’s lower house of Parliament, by the first week of May after organic laws are amended and pave the way for the general election.

Draft amendments of three organic laws related to the general election are expected to be given to Parliament for consideration next week.

Speaking to reporters shortly after meeting with the Election Commission (EC), the prime minister said once the organic laws are in place, he would seek a royal endorsement for a decree to dissolve the House of Representatives in the first week of May.

  1. This is a weird query but I was wondering if it was possible to get my picture with his excellency PM Abhisit that was taken on the MRT Subway on June 17th…I am from Nepal and I would really be grateful if I could get the pictures that were taken with him while shaking his hand. I am wearing glasses with a towel on my shoulders and a black t-shirt…thanks..and may GOD bless Thailand and choose the right leaders…:D
