S Korean Presidential Office to Agree Resignation Procedure Via Lawmakers

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The South Korean presidential office on Thursday urged the parliament to promptly hold talks to determine the procedure for the resignation of President Park Geun-hye amid the corruption scandal.

“We hope the National Assembly will swiftly hold discussions [on the timetable and procedures for Park’s resignation],” presidential spokesman Jung Youn-kun said, as quoted by the Yonhap news agency.
