Thai-Cambodian border tension eases

BANGKOK, 24 July 2011 (NNT) – The Phra Wihan National Park in Si Sa Ket province which once was prohibited for the tourist to enter due to the Thai-Cambodian border conflict is now safe for tourists to visit the Pha Mor I Dang cliff near the temple.

The sub district chief expressed satisfaction in allowing tourists and residents to re-enter the area as this will encourage trade and tourism of Si Sa Ket province to be lively once again.

However, Thai and Cambodian troops have not been withdrawn although the situation had eased.
