Banglamung Police responded to the scene at 2:30 PM after residents reported spotting a body floating near a canal warning sign prohibiting swimming and fishing. The unidentified Thai man, dressed in a red collared shirt and shorts, showed no visible signs of trauma. Investigators estimated he had been dead for 10-12 hours before discovery.

Key evidence collected included a single flip-flop and a plastic bottle of white liquor found 20 meters from the body. CCTV footage from a nearby grocery store revealed the deceased purchasing the alcohol at 10:29 AM before wandering toward the canal.

Local witnesses described the victim as a homeless alcoholic who frequently begged near convenience stores. While initial findings suggest he may have fallen into the water while intoxicated, police sent the body to Pattaya Hospital for autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death.
