Disgraced former deputy police chief, Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, has been fired from the police service without pension, after the national police chief, Pol Gen Kitrat Phanphet, signed the order today.

Surachate can, however, appeal against his dismissal to the Police Merit System Protection Committee, said an informed police source.

If the committee upholds the dismissal, Surachate then has the right to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court.
