The suspects, identified as three men, are of Japanese, Malaysian and Myanmar nationality. Police found MDMA (ecstasy), methamphetamine, and small quantities of cocaine during routine checks at the festival venue. The drugs were reportedly concealed in personal belongings, including small pouches and hidden compartments in clothing.

The arrests occurred at separate checkpoints within the festival grounds, where attendees were being screened for prohibited items and substances. The suspects face charges of drug possession under Thai law, which carries severe penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

Drug-related arrests at music festivals have become a growing concern worldwide. Thailand, known for its strict anti-drug laws, continues to enforce stringent measures to prevent illegal activity at high-profile events like EDC.
