Phetchabun Paragliding Halted After Chinese Tourists Death

On December 5th, 2024, a Chinese tourist tragically lost his life in a paragliding accident at Phu Thap Boek, Phetchabun. Huang Hao, a 56-year-old paraglider from Jiangsu, China, fell to his death after his parachute collapsed mid-flight, crashing onto the rocky terrain below.

Lom Kao Police temporarily suspended paragliding activities at the popular spot, citing safety concerns. The victim was part of a group of over 10 foreign paragliders who had organized recreational flights in the area, scheduled to continue until late December.
