An allegedly intoxicated Mexican tourist driving an SUV struck and critically injured a street sweeper in Pattaya before attempting to flee, only to be caught by a good Samaritan.

At 6:36 AM on November 18th, Pattaya police received a report of a severe car accident on South Pattaya Road near a petrol station. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Center immediately rushed to the scene.

Upon arrival, a crowd, including the victim’s anxious boyfriend and friends, had gathered to witness the incident. The victim, identified as Ms. Suchada Pilasuk, a 22-year-old cleaning staff member employed under contract with Pattaya City, was found lying in a pool of blood on the road. She had been struck by a car, which caused her body to be thrown violently onto the pavement, resulting in critical injuries. Rescue workers administered first aid before rushing her to the hospital.
