Phra Prang Sam Yod (Monkey Temple), Lopburi

Prasat Phra Prang Sam Yod (พระปรางค์สามยอด) or “Monkey Temple”, is a Khmer-style temple located in Lop Buri, Central Thailand. The temple comprises 3 “prangs” linked to one another by a corridor.

During the reign of King Narai the Great, the complex was changed as a Buddhist temple. Previously inside and actually outside, the temple hosts a Ayutthaya-style sandstone Buddha image in the subduing Mara posture.
