The Democracy Monument (อนุสาวรีย์ประชาธิปไตย) is a monument and traffic circle located on Ratchadamnoen Road in the centre of Bangkok.

This monument has four wings which guard the Constitution, representing the four branches of the Royal Thai Army. Carved panels on their bases with sculptures represent a number of stories: soldiers fighting, the personification, balance and good Life.

Two of the four wing structures of the monument has Naga fountains personifying serpent deities of the Buddhist mythology.

The Democracy Monument was entrusted in 1939 to commemorate the 1932 Siamese coup d’etat (Siamese Revolution of 1932) which led to the establishment of a constitutional monarchy that still rules today.
