Sixth-grader drowns in Phichit canal

A Phichit sixth-grader drowned while trying to swim across an irrigation canal, his body finally found 100 metres away on Friday morning, 18 hours later.

Phakawat Sae-ua, 12, a student at Wat Tha Bua Thong School, drowned in the same canal in Pho Prathap Chang district where he and his friends often swam.
