About 100 pigs heading to a slaughterhouse were burned to death in a fire that engulfed a truck on a road in Sa Kaeo’s Khao Chakan district on Friday morning.

Truck driver Somporn Denchanthuek, 48, said he watched helplessly as the pigs inside the cages wailed in agony while perishing in the fire, unable to save any of them.
