Floodwaters recede in the South of Thailand

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 27 January 2017 (NNT) – Flooding in the South of Thailand has begun to subside, although a few areas remain heavily inundated.

In Nakhon Si Thammarat province, many areas have been restored, except for Thang Phun subdistrict, where more than 1,000 homes remain submerged in deep floodwaters. Its residents rely on boats to get food and drinking water.
