Corruption Perceptions Index for Thailand declines

BANGKOK, 27 January 2017 (NNT) – Transparency International has downgraded Thailand from the 76th country on the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) to the 101st for 2016.

Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Somkid Jatusripitak said he was surprised to hear about the Kingdom’s CPI for 2016, but said he believes the corruption situation in the country will improve, as the government is doing its best to combat graft.
