Red-shirt leaders charged with illegal political gathering

Military prosecutors on Friday charged 19 leading red-shirt members with defying a ban on political gatherings in organising the launch of a centre to monitor the charter referendum.

Prosecuters from the judge advocate general’s office indicted them in the Military Court in Bangkok, as about 50 members of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) waited outside in a show of support.
