BANGKOK, 5 December 2016 (NNT) – Citizens across the nation have given alms and made merit to mark the birthday anniversary of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Residents of the northern provinces of Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan and Prae gathered throughout the region this morning to light candles and ceremonial objects in devotion to King Rama 9 on the occasion of his birthday anniversary. They also released a variety of rare aquatic animals.
