CDC says no reset on political parties

BANGKOK, 8 December 2016 (NNT) – The Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) said up to 129 sections of the permanent charter had already been approved.

CDC members Suphachai Yawaprapas and Thanawat Sangthong joined a press conference to reveal the new development of the constitution, saying the draft organic law pertaining to political parties could be subject to further changes in the future depending on several factors. The bill now requires that a political party can only be formed on a basis that it has at least 500 members.
