CHIANG MAI – A policeman was killed and a suspect arrested in an exchange of fire between narcotic suppression police and a group of three alleged drug traders in Mae Taeng district of this northern province on Tuesday night.

A search was subsequently launched during the night for two other suspects who escaped. One of them was believed wounded in the firefight.
