Lampang hill tribe people head to Bangkok to pay respects to late King

LAMPANG, 9 November 2016 (NNT) – More than one hundred hill tribe villagers from the northern province of Lampang have boarded a train to Bangkok in order to pay final respects to the body of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Director of the Lampang Hill Tribe Development Center Nikhom Waibutr led a total of 130 hill tribe people from all 13 districts of the province to Nakhon Lampang Train Station in the capital district, where the group was to board train number 4144 to Bangkok. The train ride was especially arranged not only for hill tribe villagers from Lampang but also minority groups from 11 other provinces, comprising Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Phrae, Nan, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Tak, Nakhon Sawan and Kamphaeng Phet.
