Special Branch police ban Amnesty International from releasing a report on alleged torture in Thailand

Special Branch police on Wednesday stopped Amnesty International from releasing its report of alleged torture in Thailand claiming that the person who is to release the report has no work permit and he has not sought prior permission to hold a press conference.

Amnesty International is scheduled to release a report, entitled “Make Him Speak by Tomorrow: Torture and Other Ill-treatments in Thailand”, at a press conference Wednesday morning at about 10 am.
