Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has filed a defamation complaint with the technology crime suppression division against the rector of Rangsit University, Dr Arthit Urairat, on Wednesday.

Acting on behalf of Thaksin, former Pheu Thai MP Khattiya Sawatdiphol, told the media that she was authorized by the former prime minister to lodge a complaint against Dr Arthit and a few netizens for accusing Thaksin through Facebook of being involved in the recent spate of arson and bomb attacks in seven southern provinces last week.
