BANGKOK, 18 August 2016 (NNT) – Police have inspected Bangkok’s Khao San Road to ensure safety and build confidence among tourists, following the recent assault of English tourists.

Deputy Commander of the Tourist Police Division Pol Col Nithithorn Chintakanon revealed that the incident occurred two nights ago, when the bouncers of a nightclub denied entry for four English tourists as part of the club’s policy of not permitting overly intoxicated people from entering. A verbal quarrel ensued, which escalated to physical violence.
